Roller BlindsA roller blind, in most circumstances is a sheet of fabric, coated fabric or PVC that is stitched or fused at one end around an aluminium roller pole. The aluminium roller is then suspended by two fixing brackets which are fixed to a wall or between two pillars (columns). Usually this roller blind is used to close off patios & sunrooms from bad weather conditions or extreme heat by simply rolling the blind down. When the blind is not required, the blind is simply rolled up by means of a small roller gear. A crank arm, which has a hook on the end of it, is inserted into an eyelet on the shaft of the roller gear & the blind is then rolled up by rotating the crank arm until the blind is fully rolled up. If preferred, the blind may be lowered & left at any random position i.e halfway. |
